Möhlstrasse 10: ORT

ORT was founded in St. Petersburg in 1880 as a society for trade and labor to help Russian Jews access the labor market. The World ORT Union evolved from this and opened its first vocational training school after the Shoah in the DP camp in Landsberg in August 1945. Numerous others followed. ORT published the Yiddish specialist journal Tekhnik un arbet and issued a newsletter. The Munich vocational training school was located at Rosenheimer Strasse 130.
