Memorial to the 1972 Munich Massacre
On September 6, 2017, the Free State of Bavaria inaugurated the memorial to the 1972 Munich Massacre in the Olympic Park. The Jewish Museum Munich provided support in the historical aspects of the project; the City of Munich supported it financially. The memorial site is dedicated to the victims of the terrorist attack at the 20th Summer Olympics – eleven Israeli athletes and one German policeman.

The Jewish Museum Munich offers tours that can be booked individually, which are also suitable for school classes from the 9th grade.
