Marsstrasse 43: Circus Krone
The “Jewish boxing bhampionship” in the US Zone took place from January 27 to 29, 1947, at Circus Krone in Munich. 68 athletes from DP camps took part. In front of representatives of the military government, the Central Committee and numerous aid organizations, State Commissioner Philipp Auerbach opened the competition with the combative words: “It is time to defend our honor—not only in the ring or on the sports field!”
