Places associated with Jewish Displaced Persons in Munich

So far, some 60 places associated with the history of Jewish DPs in Munich have been researched. Some of the addresses have been taken from the information brochure “Der Najer Jidiszer Wegwajzer fun di wichtigste Institucjes in Minchen” [The new Jewish guide to the most important institutions in Munich]. The guide, printed in the ORT vocational training center, focuses on the Munich city area seen from the perspective of Jewish DPs. It lists all important addresses for everyday things, from aid organizations and newspaper editorial offices to kosher grocery stores and restaurants.

Many former DPs have also shared information and private photos with the museum of places related to their personal biographies. The addresses in our online database are constantly being updated.
