"Favorite Things"
How the teddybear came to the museum

October 23, 2012 through March 10, 2013
Exhibition in the Study Area

For our current temporary exhibition "Jews 45/90", Jewish immigrants from the former Soviet Union have given us objects that have a special personal significance to them as reminders of their homeland and family history, and as expressions of their identity.

Inspired by these mementoes and personal stories, children and youths attending the "Play Town Mini Munich" in summer 2012 also gave some thought to the things that are important to them. Pictures and drawings of these "favorite things" were created in several workshops organized by the Education Officer at the Jewish Museum Munich. These are now the focal points of the exhibition in the Study Area.
